S2J Upcoming Events
Black Sanctuary
S2J will hold a fellowship space for BIPOC who hold leadership roles in movement organizations and/or racial equity efforts. Folks will be supported in prioritizing their healing and pleasure practices!
Releasing Defense, Opening to Change
As communities and organizations develop anti-oppressive practices, we humble humans often need support observing our resistance, releasing our attachment and habits, and opening ourselves up to being called into loving practice and impact. This 5-session workshop series is designed for people with white privilege to practice receiving feedback non-defensively. Check out the details below, and let’s go!
What are we up to together?
Five (5) 2-hour sessions held on Thursdays from 11:00am – 1:00pm EST
February dates: 10th, 17th, 24th
March dates: 3rd, 10th
Why should you consider receiving support around releasing defense?
So that we can more wholeheartedly and effectively contribute to efforts toward racial equity in our organizations and our movements!
How will we meet?
We’ll meet virtually, via Zoom (link to be shared after registration)
Who is invited to attend?
People who identify as white and/or hold white privilege...who have participated in the ROR workshop or another similar workshop; who want to explore an embodied role of whiteness in our lives; who believe in racial justice; who are actively engaged in efforts toward racial justice (even in small ways); who work within orgs that are working toward justice and equity, so that you can be a more helpful partner in that work
How do I register?
Fill out and submit this REGISTRATION FORM and pay via the PayPal link in the form
What is the investment required to attend?
S2J uses a pay equity model within our team, distributing resources among our team based on need. We want to support you in joining us in this approach to collective liberation. Please consider what you and/or your organization (professional development funds can be a great resource here) can contribute to this offering and pay accordingly:
$600 - Full Cost Ticket (includes resource sharing to support the creation of a Black Sanctuary space)
$300 - Partial Cost Ticket (covers the basic cost of your participation in this workshop)
$150 - Discounted Ticket (limited tickets are available for individuals who do not have organizational support and do not have access to personal wealth)
BONUS:
As a way to practice resource sharing, the cost of the Releasing Defense, Opening to Change registration fee is calculated to financially support the creation of the Black Sanctuary space, a workshop series that supports the healing and pleasure practices of BIPOC leaders in movement organizations. Thank you for sharing your resources and honoring the responsibility to support repair and healing in our community.
