Social Practice Labs
One of the core components of our work is curating intentional, consistent meeting spaces where change agents will stay connected, continue to learn, build strategy, imagine, create, and PLAY.
We believe that strong analysis is the beginning of the journey toward racial justice. Once people have a common understanding of the problem, we can then use our most creative sources to imagine a world radically different than what exists. Throughout the year, we partner with local DC spaces (like Eaton DC) to host bi-monthly gatherings for Rooting Out Racism training alum to generate ideas and practice them through role playing, improv, arts, play, and theatre devices before implementing them in real life.
